Healthy Pumpkin Spice + Coffee, too!

Soon enough it will be full on pumpkin season, and that makes me extremely happy. I love everything pumpkin! Before I start my pumpkin-baking marathon, I always make homemade Pumpkin Pie Spice!

It is super easy to make. You only need 5 minutes and 5 spices to create your own batch of Pumpkin Pie Spice.


3 Tablespoons Ground Cinnamon

2 teaspoons Ground Ginger

2 teaspoons Nutmeg

1-1/2 teaspoon Ground Allspice

1-1/2 teaspoon Ground Clove


In a small bowl, whisk together cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, allspice, and cloves until well combined. Store in a small jar or container. Making the spice in small batches really helps keep its fresh flavor.

You can use this spice for pies, cookies, cakes, breads, muffins, coffee– ok the list can go on and on. But let's talk about making a healthy Pumpkin Spice Coffee!

I’m all about making coffee at home. It’s way cheaper, ready as soon as you need it and is much healthier because you can control the quality of ingredients. This pumpkin spice coffee comes together in a snap and tastes better than the coffee shop version -because it doesn't have all the added sugar!

Let's get basic up in here! Although all things pumpkin spice have gotten a bad reputation over the past few years for being associated with being basic, I don’t really care. That ish is delicious, and this won’t be the last pumpkin spice goodie you see on the blog. Not even sorry.

Here is your Pumpkin Spice Coffee recipe:

1. add coffee grounds as normal to your coffee maker

2. sprinkle pumpkin pie spice on top of the coffee grounds

3. brew coffee as normal
